BMW has revealed that it is hiding a mysterious model that is believed to be the Neue Class.
The appearance of a possible successor to the BMW iX3 caused anticipation among motorists.
These images, which show a partially hidden BMW being transported on a trailer, have sparked speculation that they could give a glimpse of the next BMW iX3, which is due to go into production in 2025 and will be based on the Neue Klassen architecture.
Although the mystery vehicle is largely hidden under a white hood, features such as the increased ground clearance and proportions are unmistakably indicative of an SUV silhouette. It is noteworthy that the prominent wheels have a new five-spoke design, which indicates that the model is close to the production stage.
Other signs of the SUV's identity can be seen in sculpted fenders, laconic front overhangs and a front bumper decorated with durable plastic cladding.
The first photo, taken by Ajbr.Photography and posted on Instagram by Wilko Blok, shows another car on the same trailer.
The other vehicle being carried on the same trailer is likely the Vision Neue Klassé sedan or a facelift due in September 2023, hinting at BMW's intention to present the two concepts together. The presentation is likely to take place at the annual BMW Group conference scheduled for March 21, 2024.
The successor to the BMW iX3, previously confirmed under the codename NA5, was first spotted on public roads as a prototype last fall. The prototype featured familiar design elements such as headlights seamlessly integrated into the grille, door handles flush with the surface and a grille reminiscent of the iX models with a characteristic curve in the rear pillar.
The interior is expected to feature a head-up panoramic view display, which will become standard equipment on future BMW models.
BMW Neue Klasse.
An interesting discovery is the integration of 800 Volt technology into the Neue Klasse architecture. This innovative technology is expected to expand the capabilities of the next-generation battery, promising an impressive range of around 800 km and supporting ultra-fast charging.
The battery will also feature a smaller, lighter, denser and more environmentally sustainable manufacturing process. The successor to the iX3 will be available with both a single- and two-speed transmission and could become the high-performance flagship of the famous M brand.
Details of this revolutionary concept will be revealed at the BMW Group's annual conference later this month. Both enthusiasts and industry insiders are hoping that automotive photographers will have time to capture more information and details before this highly anticipated event.
