Porsche designers develop BMW 03 electric coupe concept.
BMW's innovative trends in automotive design have captured the imagination of many independent designers who have experienced seismic changes and are eager to demonstrate their creativity.
Lucas Wencefer is an experienced automotive designer who worked on 3D models for Porsche in Alias.
In addition to his main work, Lucas was responsible for the creation of the impressive BMW 03 Coupe. The design is a surprising combination of retro aesthetics and futuristic automotive concepts: the BMW 03 Coupe, which exists only in electronic format as an exclusive project, goes beyond the modern aesthetics of the BMW M2 and M4.
Lucas Wentzepfer took on the development of the 03 Coupe Concept with a mission to rethink the traditional design trajectory of the German brand. The aim was to create something "clean and different" against the current BMW design.
Designers drew inspiration from both classic BMW cars and the latest models with an exclusively electric transmission. The result was a powerful front wing combined with a low, flowing profile. Daytime running lights are hidden in the rear, giving the car an expressive look.
The timeless grille pays homage to classic design elements, while contemporary touches such as hidden door handles and alloy wheels add to the modern styling.
BMW 03 Coupe EV
The BMW 03 Coupe is a body equivalent to the previous generation M2 (F87) with a length of 4468 mm. Conceived as a rear-wheel drive, 100% electric car, the Concept Coupe embodies the progressive vision of the designers.
The Concept Coupe's quest for zero CO2 emissions is also reflected in its air intakes, which are usually decorative on electric cars. The absence of a rear exhaust pipe further emphasizes the fact that this is an electric car.
According to Lucas Wentzepfer, the concept car, if realized, will organically coexist with BMW's current line of internal combustion engines and bring diversity to the automotive world.
